Kittiwake Couple

Here's the pic I printed for Lin on Valentine's day (Chinese). It is a loving couple of Black-legged Kittiwakes nesting on the cliffs at St Abbs Head, a nature reserve under the stewardship of the National Trust for Scotland. The cliffs are about 4-5 storeys high and I had to lie prone in order to photograph them at eye-level, while trying to maintain my balance. I did get jelly-legs peering down the cliff... thankfully i am still here to write about my experience.
